Okay, this is a puplic post, because I want as many people as possible to see it. I know a lot of people on here have already been posting about this, but I figured I would as well, because it's the least I could do. If anyone have family and friends in Haiti, I'm truly sorry, and my thoughts are with you. I sincerely hope that the people you know are all safe. I have donated money to the Red Cross and to Doctor's Without Borders, and if anyone want to do as well, you can do it here, on Doctor Without borders' site: http://doctorswithoutborders.org/ or check the news for other ways to do it. Just make sure to find your own country to do it through, to be sure that everything works out as it should. I donated through text message, it was really easy and quick and it really makes a difference. The people of Haiti need it right now. It doesn't have to be much, just what you think you could be without.

Pat robinson and Rush Limbaugh are making this issue about politics and religion, when it's about basic human decency, and I, personally, would not be grieving, if either of them had been them trapped in ruins without food and water or killed under crushing buildings, instead of all those people over there. Yet, I can't say that I wish that they were, because I won't sink to their pathetic level. There are no words for the lack of basic human compassion and class that these people have showed and I'm truly, truly disgusted.

My thoughts are with the victims and their friends and family today.

Normally I would't spam my flist with charity causes, but these people really need it and I thought that if at least one person wanted to help somehow, but didn't quite know where to start, I could at least bring people's attention to this site and community. I understand if you can't or won't donate, and I don't want people too feel like this is some sort of guilt trip I'm trying to push on you; I just wanted to make awareness about it.
