Mine's Louise, and although it's pronounced differently in Danish(Lou-eez-uh), I actually like the English pronunciation better; in real life still use the Danish pronunciation, though. I would never want to change my name to another one, because names are names, and I don't feel like that's a decision I want to make; If other people choose to do that it's their business, of course.

ETA: The first one is pretty much how my name sounds in Danish: http://www.forvo.com/word/louise_bourgeois/,

Oh wow... so it's even prettier. I'm dumb, I didn't even think of how Louise would sound with a Danish accent.

It's kind of how we call Americans tend to call Anne Frank "Ann Frahnk" instead of the way she and her family pronounced it "Ohna Fronc".

D: I have been pronouncing your name wrong! But you like it? I suppose that makes it okay...

I don't know what I would change my name to. I don't really like my name (Kristen, able to be spelled too many ways). I guess I would want something more unisex and less feminine.

That's my mother's middle-name. :D I always thought it was pretty.

My name's fairly common here, so I always go by my last (Tikky).
