Writer's Block: That's one cold turkey

We don't celebrate that here in Denmark. Showing your American centrism, yet again, LJ? :P.

To be fair, you firstly gave me the little :( so I wasn't sure if you were really serious or didn't want me to know that I'd offended youse (not my intention, obvsly).

Really, I'm FARRRRR more pissed off by Memorial Day meaning fun 'n' sun fuckfest for people than a day of actually honoring our war dead. Thanksgiving at least is good for foodies (and aspiring foodies like myself) and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (I'm still a sucker for the floats).

Which is why I edited it to make it more clear. I'm sorry it didn't work. :(

My grandfather really hates Memorial Day for the same reason.

LJ's editing is sucky, it's true. I'm just glad I (hopefully) didn't make you a sadly. We all should be allowed to like whatever holidays we like and have that be it.

People bash the Fourth of July, but from what I see, at least it's celebrated "properly"; better people save their summer revelry for then and not Memorial Day. Reminds me of this bitchy post I made; the Opus cartoon really did make me cry the first time I saw it (yeah, I'm lame like that).
